Berita meninggalnya mantan gitaris Weezer, Mikey Welsh memang cukup mengejutkan keluarga, rekan dan para fans. Namun sebelum meninggal, ternyata pria berusia 40 tahun tersebut telah memprediksi dan mengumumkan kabar tentang lokasi dan waktu kematiannya tersebut lewat twitter.

"Aku bermimpi mati di Chicago akhir pekan depan (serangan jantung saat tidur). Sepertinya aku perlu menuliskan keinginanku hari ini," demikian tulis Mikey lewat twitter pada Senin (26/09) lalu.

Namun beberapa saat kemudian, Mikey menuliskan ralat atas pernyataannya tersebut, "koreksi - akhir pekan lusa."

Selain memprediksi dengan sangat akurat terkait tanggal dan lokasi kematiannya, ayah dua anak tersebut juga sempat menyebutkan prediksi harga lukisannya lewat situs micro-blogging yang sama. Dia mengungkapkan bahwa harga lukisannya yang kini ditawarkan senilai $250 akan menanjak jika dia mati lebih awal.

"Harga itu akan berlaku jika aku masih hidup ketika lukisan itu dibeli, namun harganya akan menanjak jika aku mati duluan," tulisnya.

Memang mengherankan, namun memang demikian yang benar-benar ditulis oleh gitaris yang bergabung dengan Weezer sejak tahun 1998 tersebut.
